Vermont Transportation
Air - Burlington International Airport serves much of the north east. Located adjacent to Burlington, it is 15 minutes from Lake Champlain and less than an hour away from major world-class ski resorts. Current airlines serving Burlington are Continental, Delta, JetBlue, United and US Airways.
Bus - Greyhound bus services offer multiple stops per day at the new terminal located at Burlington International Airport, connecting Burlington with a direct link to Montreal and Boston.
Rail - Amtrak offers daily service to Burlington on its "Vermonter" line, connecting the greater Burlington area with the Northeast corridor, including New York City, Philadelphia and Washington DC.
Ferry - The Lake Champlain Transportation Company operates both seasonal and year round ferries on Lake Champlain, allowing for convinient crossing to and from upstate New York.
Public Transportation - The Chittenden County Transporation Authority (CCTA) offers public bus routes throughout Chittenden County and some long distance commuter routes to Montpelier, Middlebury and St. Albans.
Car - Northwest Vermont is connected to the Interstate Highway system via I-89. Major car rental companies are located at Burlington International Airport, and Burlington is also home to CarShare Vermont, offering ownership alternatives and short and long-term rentals.
Vermont Medical
Northwest Vermont is served by Fletcher Allen Medical Center, in Burlington, Vermont's largest hosptial and a teaching hospital in partnership with The University of Vermont.
